Christmas Pictures

We found a super photographer to do some great outside shots of Abigail at a local Children's Garden. There were too many to show, but enjoy a few below:

Frosty

We went to an hour long performance at Columbia Children's Theatre this weekend and she sat through mesmerized during the whole thing. Afterwards, we met Frosty and the characters and she loved it! Hope she does this well when we go see the Nutcraker in a couple of weeks.

I am not scared of you Frosty, maybe I am ready for the Disney characters already!

Frosty, can I have your autograph?

More Mommy=More Fun!

I recently cut back my workweek to 4 days-much needed to get stuff done around the house and of course spend more time with Abigail. We start out our Mondays going to a My Gym class, then we run errands and hang out at home. Check it out:

I am getting really good at jumping on the trampoline!

Swinging with my My Gym friends!

Climbing on all the cushy equipment has unfortunately transferred to home as well!

Yes, I am carrying my stroller, grocery cart and shopping bag, this must be what mommy looks like juggling all her stuff!

Happy Halloween

Our little sock hop girl was able to wear her costume a couple of times this year during the month of October. We headed to the Boo at the Zoo on opening night and had a super fun time! Then, luckily on Halloween night there were tons of kids out and about and it was great weather at about 75 degrees. Check out pics below:

Check me out-I'm doing the Monster Mash on the dance floor at Boo at the Zoo!

The carousel is always done twice-once for a ride with mommy and once with daddy.

Look at all the goods in my candy bag-so much I had to drag it!

Mommy can we go to more houses-I need to get as much candy as possible!

Fun for Fall!

Check out some photos from some fabulous fall festivities....
Mommy and Daddy get to go see the Gamecocks play in a fancy box courtesy of mommy's boss!

Looking for the perfect pumpkin during a hayride put on by the hospital.

Chillin' in a barrel full of pumpkins!

A very special pumpkin just for me-Blue's Clues!

Oktoberfest

We look forward to it every year-OKTOBERFEST! Our little neighborhood celebrates the great weather, good food, and yummy stein every year. This Oktoberfest happened at the end of September because everyone was so busy and it was a great success. I am sad to say that next Oktoberfest will be our last.

My mommy is sooooo silly.....especially when she drinks beer!

BeBeeep....designated driver coming through!

BUBBLES!!!! I Love BUBBLES!!!!!!

Labor Day Visit

We went home to Louisville for Labor Day and a much needed visit with family. Andy was also part of a wedding party that weekend and Abigail attended her first wedding(well, sort of, we ended up having to leave the chapel because she did not want to sit still or be quiet). We had a blast playing with cousins, visiting grandparents and we got some free babysitters and headed to the first UofL football game. Too bad the rest of the season was not as fun as that first game was!

Abigail, Julia and Madison (fighting over) driving the ice cream truck at the mall.

This could be the before football season photo.....

And this the after season photo.....

Summer's Last Blast

In mid-August, we headed to Isle of Palms to celebrate Andy's Birthday and say "bye-bye" to summer. We swam in the ocean, visited with our friend Katie who lives there, went to eat in Shem Creek, and of course stopped at the outlet malls on the way home. I apologize for the bad pictures, our camera went dead and it was quite hard to keep her still for a picture!

This is pretty much what I did all day-charged towards the waves while mommy and daddy chased me!

Happy Birthday Daddy! I love you!

Finally!!!! We can wear hair bows!!!!!

Abigail is 14 months now and is just starting to really grow some pieces of hair on her bald little head. I thought this day would never come-I was finally able to muster up a couple of pieces of hair to put in one of her little baby bows. What a cutie!!!! But I must say that even without the couple of strands of new hair she is quite the adorable little girl! And while you are looking at these pictures please try and refrain from thinking that we abuse our child. Since she is walking and sometimes running, she falls down more than a drunk person walking up a bumpy hill. We saw our peditrician out this weekend and she took one look at Abigail(in her stroller) and said "It looks like she is walking around a lot".

I am pretty cute with my new hairbows(well, not new, we have anxiously been in posession of them since April 2008!)

This is my baby model pose- Puckered lips and "I don't have a care in the world" stance.

Just look at those long flowing strands of hair attached to the bow clip!

As soon as I was able to break into daddy's office I found one of his Cardinal hats to put on and that stupid bow popped right off. Refer to previous post-"Tomboy".

Summer Fun

The princess birthday parties have already begun. Abigail went to her first one a couple of weeks ago. This particular party was at a kid spa, yes, kid spa. All the little girls got their hair done, nails and toe nails painted-that sounds like something I am in dire need of too! But this day was about the little ones and they had a great time. Abigail just played with the kids and the party favors since she has no hair to get done and I think she is still a wee bit young for piggy polish! That evening we had a night out at the Brew at the Zoo, my most favorite event in Columbia all year long.

I pretty much just played with all the other kids and my party favors since I could not get my hair done. I had lots of fun though!

Here is the whole gang. Dosen't everyone look adorable after their "spa" day!

Mommy and Daddy get to have some fun too. Here they are at Brew at the Zoo while I slept soundly in my bed with a babysitter.

Here is Mommy with some friends "tasting" the brew. If they were just tasting, I wonder why they came home in a cab?

Smokey Mountain Family Trip

In mid-July we packed up the car once again to head halfway to Louisville and meet up with family. We had a great cabin in the middle of the Smokey Mountains that fit the whole family. We met up with my dad Joe, both my grandparents, My Aunt Deb and we had all three dogs there-Baxter, Pudge and Woody. We had quite a full house!!! Our sightseeing included Ripley's Aquarium, the Apple Barn Farmhouse, shopping in downtown Gatlinburg, and a show at Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre. Going back to Gatlinburg with my dad's side of the family reminded me of when I was little and our visits when my grandparents had a condo there. Gatlinburg may be a tourist trap of the highest nature, but those mountains sure make it worth the visit.

Weeee!!!! My first trolley ride-I loved to look out the window and mommy sang "The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round"

We went to the Apple Barn Farmhouse and I ate lots of yummy food!!! We went to the General Store and I found a barrel of apples and my reaction was "ball, ball". Close enough!

At the aquarium I tried to get closer to the fish by walking along the ledge while mommy followed along on the people mover. I felt like I was swimming with the fish, but good thing I wasn't because there were sharks in there!

Daddy gave me a piggy back ride and I could really see all the sea animals from this vantage point.

We went to my first theatrical performance at the Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre. mommy was really worried that I would not behave, but I watched the whole thing at full attention. It was all the singing, dancing, and fancy lights that kept me watching for two full hours.

Gatlinburg may be a crowded tourist trap full of redneck T-shirts, but who can disagree that it is surrounded by complete beauty?

Playing at the Park

Abigail is growing up and doing so many new things. Since she started walking in May, it is a whole new world. She can walk around outside and explore, practice going up and down steps, push her baby in her stroller, and swing on the swing. We do all these things while playing outside in the park across the street from our house. When we bought our house 3 years ago, I had just those things in mind and it seemed like a very far off time when we would have a little one that could enjoy the big open space and playground, just goes to show you how much time flies by. Enjoy the recent pics from this past weekend:

I love to run around in the park and see what kind of trouble I can get into!!!!

I usually find something on the ground that I am not supposed to have and I throw a fit when mommy takes it away from me :(

Baxter usually comes to the park with us. I am learning how to gently pet him and give him kisses. I am also getting really good at saying "dog" when I see him.

I love to run really fast far away from mommy and daddy so they can chase me!!! HaHa you can't catch me!
